Physical Dimensions:
Material should be Shoe Box Briquetted, free-flowing Shovel Stock, #1 Premium Heavy Chops, or heavy gauge wire cropped to 18" lengths maximum.
- Condition of Scrap
- No copper will be accepted that contains silicon, bismuth, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, antimony or phosphorus.
- Material must be free from iron, solder, nickel, grease, tar, cadmium plating, lacquer or insulation ash.
- Wire that has been heated will not be accepted.

- Crucible copper shall not be larger than 12" in length
- No wire less than No. 16 gauge shall be included in the briquettes

- This metal shall consist of #2 unalloyed copper scrap. It should be free of excessive lead, tin, and solder. Material should be free of oil, moisture, iron, ash, and non-metallics. Excessively thin sheet, wire and hair wire are not acceptable. Material shall be free of chrome bearing welding nozzles.

- This material should consist of hard brass pipe and solids free of plated, painted, iron, non-metallics, solder and pipes with cast brass connections. Material must be sound, clean, and free of sediment and moisture. Hard Brass shall be free of lined and unlined standard red car boxes, red brass, and semi-red brass.

Physical Condition:
- This material should consist of red brass scrap, valves, machinery bearings, and free of plated and soldered materials or cast brass connections. Sprinkler heads are prohibited as they normally contain glass water vials and pose a safety risk if charged in our furnaces. Must be free of semi-red brass castings; railroad car boxes; cocks and faucets; closed water meters; aluminum, silicon, and manganese bronzes. Chrome plated material is 100% prohibited. Material must be sound, clean, and free of sediment, moisture, iron, non-metallics, and condenser tubes. The presence of silicon valve stems will subject the metal to immediate rejection.

National Bronze and Metals purchases scrap lead, solders, and tin on a case-by-case basis. Chemistry, packaging, and sizing are subject to negotiation. Antimony in any case not to exceed 7%. National Bronze is also a regular buyer of specific CDA Alloys.
